Our Flowers on the Farm

On our family farm, we cultivate a beautiful array of flowers including the lush peonies, vibrant ranunculus, elegant lisianthus, and diverse dahlias among other greenery and filler flowers Each bloom is nurtured to showcase its unique beauty.

Lisianthus

Lisianthus are elegant flowers known for their wide range of colors and resemblance to roses or peonies. They have delicate, ruffled petals and come in shades of white, pink, lavender, and deep purple. These versatile blooms are popular in bouquets and floral arrangements due to their long vase life. In North Carolina, Lisianthus typically starts blooming in late spring or early summer, around May or June, and can continue through the warmer months until fall, depending on the local climate and care.

Dahlias

Dahlias are vibrant and diverse flowers, famous for their myriad forms and colors, ranging from white and pink to deep reds and purples. They feature intricate, layered petals. Dahlias are beloved by gardeners and florists for their striking appearance and long blooming period. In North Carolina, Dahlias typically begin flowering in mid-summer, around July, and continue to add color and life to gardens until the first frost in late autumn.

Peonies

Peonies are lush, fragrant flowers known for their large, showy blooms and range of colors, including pink, red, white, and yellow. They are cherished for their beauty and sweet scent, making them popular in gardens and as cut flowers. Peonies bloom in late spring to early summer, and in North Carolina, their flowering season usually starts in April and can last through May, offering a brief but spectacular display of color and fragrance.

Ranunculus

Ranunculus are known for their delicate, multi-layered petals and come in a vibrant palette of colors, including white, yellow, orange, pink, and red. These flowers are celebrated for their rose-like appearance and long-lasting nature, both in gardens and as cut flowers. In North Carolina, Ranunculus typically begin to bloom in early spring, around March, and can continue to showcase their vivid colors and charming form into May, providing a cheerful and colorful start to the gardening season.

Sunflowers

Sunflowers, known for their large, radiant petals in shades of yellow, gold, and even deep reds and browns, showcase a delightful variety on our North Carolina farm. Starting in late May and blooming to frost, they bring a spectrum of color and joy to the landscape. These sun-tracking flowers come in different sizes and varieties, that captures the essence of a North Carolina summer with their diverse and cheerful presence.
